Despite protests, drilling has commenced on two huge new oil fields on the banks of Lake Albert. Layered with a pursuing airplane flown by Pam, and exploding vehicles everywhere. 'Licence to Kill' is a song by American singer Gladys Knight, written and recorded for the James Bond film Licence to Kill, taken from the soundtrack of the films same name. When it ends and the most memorable music in the film is the Mex-mariachi music from the trucks' speakers, you know the music director f'd up big time! How come that wasn't on the soundtrack? Heh-he. Knight's title theme has a rousing under-rhythm, but overall it's just a modern 'Thunderball', and Kamen's non-score makes me feel like I'm watching a 'Lethal Weapon' movie. The dialog is rough at times and so is some of the acting, though it had the best cast in a 007 film in dog's years! The costuming is a joke, the drug story shop-worn, and 007's 'resignation' scene, what should have been the first truly dramatic moment of the entire movie, is treated as though the movie starred Steven Segal! The T8 lamps are around 1 inch in diameter, they must be replaced every 6 months or so and they have an effective range of 9-12 inches. UV tubes are currently available in 2 sizes, T8 and T5. Albinos or any gecko with less pigmentation would be on the lower end of that spectrum while a common leopard gecko could have a wide 5% tube or a short 7% tube. We recommend somewhere between 2-7% over a small portion of the enclosure depending on the gecko. Leopard geckos are not afull time basking species by nature so they don't need an intense UVB source. A simple dial thermometer on each side should be sufficient but digital probe thermometers are much more accurate. A 5of variance on the basking spot is nothing to worry about as long as your cool side is still cool. Though the thermostats we sell are very reliable it is always best practice to monitor your temperatures with a thermometer. The heat mat will only begin to heat once the temperatures have dropped below 80of at night time. During the day your temperatures will be much too warm and the heat mat thermostat should keep it off automatically. The heat mat is buried under around an inch of bedding, the sensor for the thermostat is then rested on the bedding covering the heat mat so that it can track the surface temperature of that patch of floor. To make sure that the heat mat remains the correct temperature it is controlled by a simple on/off thermostat set to 80of. The heat mat will warm objects around it providing a warm patch of ground for the leopard gecko to rest on. To provide this warmth throughout the night without introducing light to the enclosure we lay a heat mat under the basking area. Though at this point the sun has gone down, there would still be rocks, paths and roads that have warmed up in the day and that will radiate heat for much of the night. This should make sure that the gecko has a clear day night cycle. At night, all of the lights should go off and the enclosure should be completely dark. The basking lamp is left on for 10-12 hours per day. Leopard geckos will be able to reach the top of their enclosure without decorations to climb on so the basking lamp must be surrounded by a guard. This is controlled by a dimming thermostat to make sure that the temperature is kept correct throughout the day. To achieve this we attach a basking lamp to the ceiling of the enclosure on one side. We try to provide this heat over 1/3 of the enclosure while letting the rest of the enclosure cool to 70of on the opposite side. ![]() Naturally, leopard geckos would experience temperatures of around 90of in the sun. ![]() Animals at Northampton Reptile & Fish Centre.Tortoise & Turtle Setups Expand submenu. As far as smart mugs go, it doesn't get much better than this. That also means, unfortunately, the mug isn't dishwasher-safe. The Mug 2 is compatible with the Ember app, which allows you to customize temperatures and receive notifications for when your drink has reached your desired temperature.Ī scratch-resistant ceramic finish makes this mug nice and durable, and its water-resistant design allows you to hand-wash it without harming the battery or internal components. We then narrowed down our list by eliminating products that appeared to be chronically unreliable or had frequent safety issues, like overheating. No temperature-controlled mug on this list has lower than a 4 out of a 5-star average rating. When curating this list of options, we carefully studied the online reviews and customer feedback for many of the options on the market today. These can allow you to customize precise temperatures and alert settings, but could also be more trouble than they’re worth if you don’t need them. You should also think about whether or not you’d like to control your mug using a smartphone app. These heating coasters require you to place your mug on top of them to keep temperatures high. They’re less portable, though, and will begin to cool off as soon as you pick them up. Mugs that use heating coasters, on the other hand, have an unlimited runtime, and as long as you stay near your desk or countertop, your drink will stay hot all day. These batteries won’t last forever, though, and once they’re dead, you’re stuck carrying around a heavy mug of cold coffee. Mugs that are designed with a battery inside the unit itself can be carried anywhere and don’t tether you to your desk or countertop. The main factor to consider when choosing a temperature-controlled mug is how portable you need it to be. ![]() Into F, so the output is going to be F of our So this right over here is F of H of two. Two, and so we're going to take the input, which is H Whatever the input is you square it and minus one. Well it seems kind of daunting at first, if you're not veryįamiliar with the notation, but we just have to Now what do you think this is going to be and I encourage you to pause this video and think about it on your own. Going to evaluate F of, actually let's just start What it means to evaluate F of, not X, but we're What do I mean by that? Well, let's think about Up a function by composing one function of other functions or I guess you could think of nesting them. To compose functions? Well that means to build This video is introduce you to the idea of composing functions. And actually let me number this one, two, three, just like that. So for example, when X is equal to three, H of X is equal to zero. So you could use this asĪ definition of G of T. We map between different values of T and what G of T would be. Voiceover:So we have three different function definitions here. The quadratic formula yields roots 3 ± √5. We can continue to search for roots by finding the roots of the quadratic: From our analysis above, we know that (x - 1) is a factor of the polynomial, so we want to divide the polynomial by (x - 1) and find the quotient. Here is the systematic algebraic way to do it: Your second question asks if there is an easier way to solve the following equation: Therefore (x - 1) is indeed a factor of 2x³ - 14x² + 20x - 8. Which we note is 0, because the first 3 terms are from the original function ƒ(x) and that already yielded 8, and when we combine that with the remaining -8, we get 0. If we divide by (x - 1) our remainder is: Since the remainder is 8 and we want to get rid of that, we subtract 8 to get: We can make (x - 1) a factor of ƒ(x) if we add something to the function that will get rid of the remainder. It follows that if we divide ƒ(x) by (x - 1), then our remainder is 8. Remainder Theorem tells us that when we divide ƒ(x) by a linear binomial of the form (x - a) then the remainder is ƒ(a). \) is continuous on \([0, \infty)\).That means when you plug in 1 for "x" in the above expression, you will get 8. ![]() You agree not to send or bring the Content out of the country/region where you originally obtained it to other countries/regions without any required authorization of the applicable governments and/or in violation of any laws, restrictions and regulations.īy proceeding to downloading the Content, you agree to be bound by the above as well as all laws and regulations applicable to your download and use of the Content. Focusing on efficiency in your work instead of just productivity can help you to produce a better quality of work, and avoid time wasted on rectifying past mistakes. Because it takes into account the underlying cost and the quality of the output, you can use it to measure how much of the produced output is profitable. Efficiency, on the other hand, is a more refined way of measuring their effectiveness. Raw productivity only shows how much someone has produced. Someone else who only completes 80 documents per day could be the more efficient of the two if they take the time to do these carefully so that there are no mistakes in the finished product. If 30% of the work they do contains mistakes that take time to rectify, this could mean they are not working efficiently. For example, someone working at a printing company might handle 100 documents each day. ![]() Unlike efficiency, productivity doesn't take into account the measured underlying cost of the output. Related: 10 valuable soft skills that you need to succeed in your career 2. Similarly, companies simply measuring their team member's productivity don't necessarily get a clear picture of how everyone is performing, as those with a lower productivity rate might nonetheless have a higher quality of work. Solely focusing on productivity at work might increase your output, but it won't necessarily mean that you produce better work. While productivity measures bulk output, you use efficiency to measure the amount of output that functions as intended. Here are three ways you can think about the differences between productivity and efficiency: 1. Three ways of understanding productivity vs. In this way, becoming more efficient in the way you work can make your effective productivity better in the long run. ![]() For example, if a manufacturer produces 2000 products in a day, but 400 of them are later found to be defective, this is inefficient even if their productivity looks high. If they create the same number of posts the next month but do it in half the time, their productivity hasn't improved, but they have performed their work in a more efficient way.Īnother way to look at efficiency is in terms of the quality of the output. For example, if a social media manager produces 200 posts to share on their company channels over a month, they may well be very productive. Companies and individuals that focus on efficiency are not only concerned with their output, but also with the resources they use to produce it. Related: How is productivity calculated? (With formula and examples) What is efficiency?Įfficiency is the focus on producing the desired results with as little waste as possible. On an individual level, increasing your productivity at work might mean finding ways to eliminate distractions so that you can increase your output. Companies can increase their productivity by adding more resources, such as adding more people to a customer service department at a busy time of year. For example, if a sales team made up of five people generates £3000 in sales each week, they can calculate that each employee produces £600 worth of sales in a week.īusinesses or individuals that are concerned with productivity are interested in producing the maximum possible yield with the resources that they have. Another way for companies to calculate their productivity is to consider the output per employee. For example, if you work for a manufacturing company that produces 1000 devices every seven-hour shift, the company's productivity is around 143 items per hour. Usually, you calculate this by determining the output per unit of time. ![]() Productivity measures a person, team or company's performance in terms of output. Here are the definitions of both words: What is productivity? To understand the differences between productivity vs efficiency, it's important to understand what both words mean individually.
